Good Time
In Good Time from the Safdie brothers, a dark fascination with New York's underworld, reminiscent of Martin Scorcese's Taxi Driver, meets the dizzying tempo, adrenaline rushes and stylistic changes that audiences may associate with Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive. Taking place in a single night, the story revolves around two brothers, Connie (Robert Pattinson) and Nick (Ben Safdie) Nikas, who stage a daring bank robbery. Although everything goes according to plan initially, Nick is eventually caught by the police. Once Connie gets wind of this, he stops at nothing to get his brother back. As the plot unfolds, the film turns out to be not only a top-notch gangster movie, but also an unexpected tale about the power of family ties. In this unusual combination, the actors perform wonderfully. It's possible that after seeing Good Time, everyone who has ever mocked Robert Pattinson will fess up to their mistake.

Benny Safdie, Josh Safdie
Ben (b. 1986) and Josh (b. 1984) Safdie were born and raised in New York. Inspired by their father's fascination with film, they made their first amateur attempts at direction in their early childhood. Their first joint full-length feature film was the 2009 comedy Get Go Some Rosemary, which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival. Since then, the brothers have been regularly listed among the most interesting filmmakers in American independent cinema.
